Trained Advocacy Group (TAG)

Through a grant from the Hawaii People’s Fund, PHOCUSED created a Trained Advocacy Group (TAG) Program as an opportunity to train and support consumers of health, human services, and housing programs to advocate at the legislature with their own voices.  Transforming their fear and isolation through the process of becoming agents of social change; we train and empower a small group of consumers to become active legislative advocates at the Hawaii Legislature.  They will spend the legislative session in their PHOCUSED green t-shirts submitting testimony, attending hearings, and speaking to legislators.  This year our TAG team members are:
